Psychedelic psychotherapy is the next big news. The leaps forward that people can make through psychedelic work are truly beautiful and sometimes astounding.
However, there’s a topic that is not discussed nearly enough in psychedelic work and that is the pendulation between expansive and contracted states.
I promised to write a longer post about this in the near future, but for now I just wanted to pose a question…
If you have engaged in any kind of psychedelic work, what was your experience with the contraction that inevitably follows expansive state of the psychedelic?
I have done this a lot and every time I’ve had very expansive experiences and deep realizations about existence which have left me with an overwhelming sense of peace.
That’s beautiful and it has been my experience as well. But many people, myself included experience contraction, following the beautiful expansion of medicine work. That contraction can land hard and can be hard to deal with, which is why integration is so essential. I’m very happy to hear that you’ve had positive experiences!
I could see how that might happen if you have to turn around and work a traditional job. I’m a psychic and give readings as my main source of income so my life revolves around these sort of things.
Ahh, that makes sense. You are well acquainted with non-ordinary states and how to navigate them. I'm curious, did you notice your psychic abilities becoming enhanced after you began doing medicine work?
